WordPress

WordPress is a very popular open source blogging and website content management system (CMS). It is used by more than 29% of the top 10 million websites as of January 2018.

I am involved in all aspects of this amazing platform, from installation to migration, content management, site maintenance, theme development, SEO and security.

Sublime Text 3

Sublime Text is a proprietary cross-platform source code editor that supports many programming and markup languages.

Its strength lies in the ability to add functionality through the installation of plugins. These are typically community-built and maintained under free-software licenses. Arguably it is the best code editor.

Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop is a powerful image editing application that is used by many professional photographers and designers.

Before adding an image to a website, Photoshop can be used to:

Crop, resize and straighten the image
Adjust exposure and colour balance
Optimize images to reduce download times, and
Facilitate multiple other options to improve image quality.

git

By far, the most widely used version control system in the world today is git. It is a mature, actively maintained open source project originally developed in 2005 by Linus Torvalds, the famous creator of the Linux operating system.

This powerful tool is the best way to keep track of file changes, whether used by a team or an individual developer.

ubuntu

ubuntu is a complete Linux operating system, freely available with both community and professional support.

I use lubuntu a faster, more lightweight and energy saving variant of ubuntu as my local LAMP Stack development platform.
